During Pride the Centrum gains a second population of visitors, and the stretch between the station and the canals can take three times as long to cross. Lucy is right in the middle of it and plans accordingly, agreeing Saturday bookings in the days before and keeping the parade afternoon clear. She speaks English, cheerfully and plainly, with guests from every corner of the week's crowd. Sensual massage and body to body are her usual formats during Pride, and what a session includes is her call. At twenty-four she has seen enough festival weekends to stay calm through any of them. Living in the Centrum keeps her journeys to hotels near the station or the Dam short, and on an ordinary evening any central address is reached within forty to sixty minutes of confirmation. A guest who books her for the parade Saturday from home, weeks before the trip, sends half the fee at once, because both the date and the early booking call for it.
